Kate Gosselin’s Late Night Tweets with Fans after Show Canceled

Kate Gosselin was certainly not lost for words after her TLC show was cancelled. She remained upbeat and Tweeted with fans, interacting late into Monday night. However, it seems that the Gosselin kids, as well as their mother, are upset that the show was cancelled.

Mother-of-eight, Gosselin started off with a statement. Here it is in full:

“We’ve had a great run! Six years of whirlwind fun-filled adventures thanks to TLC and our many many supportive & diehard fans! While it is very sad for me and the kids (there were many tears at the breakfast table this morning!), we are looking forward with great anticipation to our bright future! As is very typical for me, I am choosing to see the positive in this situation and I am excited to consider the many more invigorating opportunities that may come my way! I poured my entire self in2 last 6 yrs of ‘Kate+8’ & I can’t wait2have the chance2challenge myself again w future endeavors! In the meanX, I hope 2have more time4motivational speaking, book writing &other fun work opportunities that come my way… And maybe even some dating??!! We wish our fans well. And remember, this is not ‘goodbye’. I prefer to say ‘See you around!’ Xoxo”

Then Kate Gosselin continued right into the night, retweeting kind wishes from her followers and answering their questions. She also let out a few spoilers for the current, now final, series.

The reality TV star revealed that she has no plans to go back into nursing and will stay on TV.

Then, after a few hours away to run off some energy, Kate Gosselin was back to Tweeting.

She Tweeted, “Just ran 8.5 mi in 1:26. 1 mi for ea child and .5 for Shoka! Great stress relief! Whew! Shower. Egg w whom….Then tweet time! Be there soon!”

True to her word, Kate returned to Tweet that eldest daughter Mady (10) wants to have a TV career too.

As we told you earlier, TLC pulled the plug on the family franchise on Monday, announcing in a statement: “TLC has decided not to renew another season of Kate Plus 8.”

Falling viewing figures are thought to be the problem and so the show will be cut at the end of this season, after surpassing the 150 episode mark (including ‘Jon & Kate Plus 8’).

For now, you can catch “Kate Plus Eight” on Mondays at 9/8c on TLC through September 12.
