A company called RC3 has created a mobile app called Joustin’ Beaver. The app is a cartoon game, in which the user floats down a river, defending Joustin’ from photographers!
Starting to see why Justin is as little aggrieved now?
OK. Now add in the fact that the beaver looks VERY like Justin. Yep, you’re getting it.
So Justin Bieber’s lawyers have fired off a cease and desist letter to RC3, demanding that they cease production and sales immediately. They say they want the app removed from iTunes and they want an accounting of all revenues collected by RC3.
But RC3 aren’t playing. They are adamant that they will carry on selling the 99 cent app. They claim that it is a parody and therefore protected by the First Amendment to the Constitution.
