John Mayer is a man of his word.
Yesterday, the controversial singer posted on his Twitter account that “if Harvey Levin at TMZ can produce my mugshot, I will donate 25k to the charity of his choice.”
Well, it didn’t take long for Harvey and his team of investigators to scrounge up the 2001 shot and post it on their website.
The mugshot, taken on May 26, 2001 after Mayer was caught driving with a suspended license in Atlanta, shows a young Mayer with a small grin on his face.
As we said before, it didn’t take Harvey and his team long to produce the image – and it didn’t take John long to pay up, either. Not long after TMZ posted the photo, Mayer uploaded pics of the two $12,500 checks her wrote out for Harvey’s charities.
So which charities did Harvey choose?
Half of the 25 thousand is going Pet Orphans of Southern California while the other half is going to Ace of Hearts (supporting pet adoption and foster opportunities for animals in need).
A little bit of fun to spice up an otherwise boring week in entertainment. Thanks John! We knew we could count on you!
