Jersey Shore Season 5: The Unit in Felony Drugs Bust

He has only just turned up to star on Jersey Shore, but already we know Jonathon Manfre (otherwise known as The Unit) is trouble. Last year, he turned up the MTV house and was arrested for drug possession. He had to wait to find out the seriousness of charges brought against him.

Now we all know: it’s a felony!

On last night’s episode of the season premiere of the hit MTV show Manfre taunted Snooki her about her alleged hookup with The Situation (she so did it, didn’t she?). She went ballistic at him, throwing back some insults of her own about his nickname. But surely anyone who calls themselves The Unit opens themselves up for some ridicule?

Now Jonathon Manfre has his own situation to be worried about – and it’s worse than anything Snooki can throw at him.

As we previously reported to you, was arrested in Seaside Heights, New Jersey on July 24, 2011 for possession of a controlled “powdery substance” which turned out to be Ketamine, a medically prescribed drug that is legally used as a horse tranquilizer. The illegal use of Special K can cause dream-like states and hallucinations.

Now a Seaside Heights police official has confirmed that Manfre was indicted in December for 3rd degree felony possession of Ketamine, a controlled substance.

If he is found guilty, he could face three to five years in prison.

Manfre’s next court date is January 10, but he is not required to appear in person.
