Jersey Shore Celebrity Demands Force Recasting for Season 6

Fans of Snooki, JWoWW and The Situation only have two more seasons to get their fill of watching their drunken escapades and sexual exploits – at least as far as “Jersey Shore” goes.

Reports are circulating now that MTV plans to recast all the main charcters in the infamous reality show. The original crew will finish this season in Italy and then film one final season back in Seaside Heights this summer. That’s it.

“After this group comes back from Italy and shoots season 5 this summer, that will be the end for them,” a show source said.

Except it won’t be the end of them just yet. Snooki, The Situation and their peers have gained celebrity status now.

The insider also gave the reason for the recasting as the high salaries demanded by the cast and the weight of their outside commitments taking their energies off the original show. The show makers have tired of all the publicity and paparazzi constantly surrounding them. The new cast will be “a lot cheaper” the insider said.

Celebrity News and Style had previously reported that before the start of every new season, the “Jersey Shore” cast holds out for a bigger pay raise, arguing they bring in the big bucks from sponsorship deals and club appearances they can’t do while filming for MTV.

It seems they have now become victims of their own success and they have been cut loose from “Jersey Shore.”
