It looks certain now that the new season of “Jersey Shore” is back on track. The stars should be heading to Italy as their salary increases have been finalized. It has been confirmed that the main group of eight cast members will each receive at least $100,000 per episode.
That’s right. $100,000 per episode. And judging by previous seasons, it is likely that there will be thirteen or so episodes in the season. The math is easy – it’s a pretty impressive payout for wild partying and getting it on together.
We previous reported delayed filming on the new serie as Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and Paul “Pauly D” Delvecchio were refusing to sign their new contracts until they received a pay hike.
They appear to have been handsomely rewarded! Now the group of six main stars of the show will earn a six figure sum per episode.
The “Jersey Shore” cast are old hands at such negotiations. Last year, they went on strike for money. So now they will earn $100,000 per episode, compared to $10,000 per episode for Season 2.
Of course, the money they get for appearing in the show is nothing compared to what they earn each ear in endorsements and personal appearances. For instance, The Situation is said to be worth $5 million in promotional payments.
Not a bad wage to be paid for having a good time, is it? Are the “Jersey Shore” cast worth $100,000 per episode?
