The rapper and his wife Beyonce recently became parents to a baby girl, Blue Ivy Carter. After celebrating her birth in song, the besotted father has now written a poem about the happy event.
The poem reads,
“Before I got in the game, made a change, and got rich
I didn’t think hard about using the word bitch
I rapped, I flipped it, I sold it, I lived it
Now with my daughter in this world I curse those that give it.”
The rapper promises to protect his daughter and vows that he will no longer degrade women in his music. He is adamant that no one will ever degrade her.
“I’m so focused on your future, the degradation has passed. I wish you wealth, health and insight. Forever young you may pass. Blue Ivy Carter, my angel,” he said.
Jay-Z recently released a track called Glory. Blue Ivy became the youngest person in music history to be credited on the listings as her new born cries are featured on the song.
