In an undercover operation to conceal the wedding plans that was worthy of 007 himself, Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz have become husband and wife.
The British newspaper “News of the World” yesterday reported that the James Bond star and the British actress married in a service at a friend’s house in New York on June 23, 2011.
The wedding was a very secret service with just four witnesses. The guests included Daniel’s daughter, Ella (18) and Rachel’s son, Henry (4).
“Daniel and Rachel insisted on having a small, quiet wedding,” a source told the Sunday newspaper. “They are madly in love and couldn’t wait to be husband and wife – but they wanted minimum fuss.”
The courtship has been swift. Weisz only announced her split from her longtime fiancee, director Darren Aronofsky, father of Henry, eight months ago. Weisz and Aronofsky had been together for nine years and engaged for five of them.
Craig (43) and Weisz (40) are said to have fallen in love soon after their break-up after meeting on the set of their new movie, “Dream House.”
Rachel’s father, George Weisz, has wished them both “continued joy.”
