How can we wait until Sunday to see who Emily Maynard will pick on ‘The Bachelorette’ finale? The suspense has been ramped up even further by the latest rumor, that “the most dramatic rose ceremony ever” causes heartbreak for Emily Maynard.
How? The man she wants to pick turns her down!
That’s right. Latest gossip from ‘Bachelorette’ land is the unthinkable: one of the suitors on the reality TV show grows a conscience and having gone through the whole season, realizes he and Emily Maynard don’t now each other well enough to get engaged.
Now, I’m torn. My head is telling me what a sensible guy he is. My heart is breaking for Emily Maynard.
We know there is a lot of romance in the finale. We saw the previews of her final romantic dates with Jef Holm & Arie Luyendyk on ‘The Bachelorette Men Tell All’ show this week. Emily really does seem to be falling in love with both Arie and Jef.
That’s why the final rose winner is so tough to call. But even I was shocked when I heard this latest rumor.
Be warned – this is a major spoiler you’re about to read.
According to a ‘Bachelorette’ insider, one of the remaining two men has a change of heart and actually breaks things off with Emily during their final date. This major case of cold feet has him declaring to Emily,
“I don’t think we know each other nearly enough to even be entertaining this; I don’t think we should get engaged.”
Say what? Apparently, Emily is devastated. And so am I if this turns out to be true!
But as if this were not bad enough, things get worse after his declaration. Emily apparently begs him to change his mind and even tells him,
“You’re the one I want to pick!”
But wait. Did Emily settle for sloppy seconds? We know (or think we know) that Emily Maynard is engaged and crazy happy with her fiancé. But who is she engaged to? Most indicators suggest it’s Jef. But did she really to choose Arie? Was Jef the one to initially turn her down and was he persuaded to change his mind?
I just hope this is all a rumor put out to increase interest in ‘The Bachelorette’ finale – as I we weren’t going crazy enough for it already! But if it’s true, I wouldn’t like to be the guy concerned. Arie and Jef would both be popular winners, but if they have appeared to string Emily along all season only to dump her at the end, they could go from hero to zero in double quick time. And surely if Emily Maynard settles for her second choice, that will cause problems for their relationship later on down the track.
What do you think to this latest ‘Bachelorette’ rumor? Please tell me it isn’t true!
