Golden Globes 2012: Who Were The Winners?

The 2012 Golden Globe Awards took place on Sunday evening (January 15) with Ricky Gervais as host once again at the helm. But apart from a few of his acerbic comments and Seth Rogen’s reference to his penis, this was a much tamer affair than last year.

So how did the winners’ list match up to my predictions? No bad, even if I do say so myself.

The Artist again led the pack, winning three awards (including Best Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical and Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical. But The Descendants (Best Motion Picture — Drama and Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama) demonstrate it could spoil The Artist’s Oscar hopes.

The TV Golden Globes 2012 had no show dominating. High-profile wins went to newcomer Homeland (Best Television Series – Drama) and Modern Family (Best Television Series – Comedy or Musical).
