The X Factor US A contestant LeRoy Bell says he will prove his age, if he gains enough Twitter Followers.

Bell has agreed to post his birth certificate online if he makes it to 100,000 Twitter followers.

LeRoy Bell (60) is being mentored by Nicole Scherzinger in the Overs category of the X Factor USA. He posted a video on his official Twitter account over the weekend, laughing off claims that he is not really as old as he claims he is.

Bell said,

“Lately there has been a lot of talk about my age. I really am 60 years old. I was born in 1951, I turned 60 in August, and I feel pretty good.”

So, he issued a challenge in a smart publicity stunt. He vowed to post his birth certificate online if he gained 100,000 Twitter followers.

Bell, impressed the X Factor judges when he sang Lean On Me by Ben E. King in his first audition, and then won his place among the Top 17 on the live shows after performing for Scherzinger and her guest judge Enrique Iglesias.

The X Factor USA Top 17 will perform live for the first time tomorrow, Tuesday, October 25 at 8/7c on Fox, when the judges will decide which 12 contestants move on to perform for America’s vote the following week.
