It seems every season of “The Bachelor” has to have a girl we all love to hate, and this season, Tierra LiCausi was it. She was disliked almost universally by the show’s fans and the other girls competing for Sean Lowe’s attention (and proposal of marriage).
But one person has leaped to Tierra’s defense: former “Bachelorette” Emily Maynard (you know, the one who was everyone’s favorite sweetheart before they too turned on her a few months after appearing on the show. Emily has called into question people’s motives for hating Tierra.
During a live Twitter session earlier this season, Emily said she just doesn’t get why everyone hates on Tierra.
“Am I crazy for feeling kind of bad for Tierra?” she asked. “She’s definitely aggressive but is she really that mean?? Have I missed something?”
Fans quickly responded en masse about how much they disliked Tierra, but Emily persisted in giving her the benefit of the doubt.
“Whoa. I’m guessing from the response she really is that bad. Maybe its just editing though??”
Emily later went on to explain how she feels about Tierra in a recent video blog for E!
“I get that she’s like kinda not that warm and fuzzy, and not really the nicest girl ever. I get all of that, but I haven’t seen anything outwardly mean that she’s done. I get that she wants to hang out with Sean a lot and she’s super aggressive, but there’s that girl every season. And we know those girls in our everyday life, but do we really have to hate them?”
Well, do we? Just because she’s “not really the nicest girl ever” and “super aggressive”? Is that bad enough? Coul;d it all be the result of editing?
Emily has not yet commented publicly on how she feels about Tierra’s official exit form “The Bachelor” season 17 but Emily, who is after all Sean Lowe’s ex, is bound to say something about it soon. Can’t wait!
