Publicly, Emily Maynard has kept quiet about her breakup from “Bachelorette” winner and fiancé Jef Holm but she allegedly told friends she was “dying” in the relationship. So will it be third time lucky for Emily Maynard as rumors circulate that she is to be the next Bachelorette (again!)?
In public, Emily and Jef have maintained a dignified silence over their breakup. But a “Bachelorette” insider told US Weekly magazine that she couldn’t wait to break up with him and she had really had enough.
“She was like ‘I’m dying here, I’m dying here,’” the insider said, while another said Emily “was just over it … enough was enough.”
A source close to Jef, who Emily chose over race car driver Arie Luyendyk, said his earlier vows of wanting to be a father figure to Emily’s daughter Ricki came to nothing.
“He has no real connection to Ricki … he doesn’t feel close to her,” the source said, adding Jef thought Emily was an absentee parent, calling her a “bad mom” on many occasions.
In addition, rumors that Emily and NFL backup Matt Leinart were “sexting” each other further eroded their love, as did her flirtatious behavior at an August 4 wedding for a “Bachelor” staffer. It’s not the first time we have been told that Emily’s homely Southern Belle charms are just for the cameras and that she is a flirty, ambitious woman determined to make a career in TV.
So are “Bachelorette” bosses about to help her up that career ladder? Rumor has it that she will be asked to be the next “Bachelorette” as well as the last one. Three’s a charm?
“Emily’s ratings were huge and the producers know that she is incredibly popular so they are talking with her about coming back for another try,” a show source said.
“Even though she has been burned twice, they are hoping that she will be open to the idea because they know it will be ratings gold and they know that she really likes being on TV and actually has fun on the show.”
Emily got engaged to Brad Womack during her first reality TV stint, but that soon ended and now that things with Jef Holm she is once again back on the market.
“The producers want to change things up and film in Los Angeles this time but they want to be respectful of Emily’s daughter Ricki so they’ll shoot around her school schedule and vacations,” the source said.
“ABC loves Emily, there are tons of Emily fans and the producers think it could be an amazing twist that would really get people watching, even if it is haters tuning in to see what she will do a third time!”
Would you watch Emily on the Bachelorette again? What do you make of these commens about Jef?
