Emily Maynard and Jef Holm have begun their life in Charlotte, North Carolina. Jef finally made his move to Emily and resides about a half-mile down the road from where she lives with daughter, Ricki. The couple have settled into a new mold — especially Jef. In an interview with Wetpaint, Jef shared how things are a lot different in his life now that he’s part of a family dynamic.
“It’s so different from my normal life,” Jef said. “I’m used to being single and going out with my friends and staying up late and doing whatever I want to. And now, I love that there’s that family aspect to things.”
By staying up late whenever he wanted to, Jef didn’t typically wake up early the next morning. He admits that although he’s not a “morning person,” he doesn’t want to miss the big moments with Ricki.
“Emily and Ricki get up really early because she has school,” Jef went on to say. “She has to be at school by 8. She usually knocks on Emily’s door by 5:30 or 6:00 am and Emily gets up with her and they eat breakfast. If I’m there, then I take Ricki to school with Emily because I want to be around for those big moments.”
Jef was there when Ricki’s grandparents, the Hendricks, came over to Emily’s on the first day of school. Jef said it was “awesome” and he enjoys driving Emily’s daughter to school on the days he’s there.
Emily and Jef are creating a life for themselves that look to be a promising one. When will this “Bachelorette” couple head down the aisle? When the two spoke with ABC’s “Good Morning America” Friday morning, Emily said they want their ceremony to be low-key event with lots of family around. No date has been set, but they still plan to get married.
