DWTS 13: David Arquette Wants To Get To Know Chaz Bono

Now that we know the whole celebrity and professional dancer line-up for Dancing With The Stars 13 on ABC it’s time to find out what some of the stars of this season are most looking forward to. As we told you yesterday, Kristin Cavallari is liking the fact that the training is helping her get over her engagement break-up and is looking forward to being more toned.

David Arquette just wants to get to know Chaz Bono better. Why is that, you might ask.

David Arquette spoke to Ryan Seacrest yesterday about his upcoming stint on season 13 of Dancing With The Stars, and David told Ryan Seacrest that he is looking forward to getting to know Chaz Bono better, because apparently he understands what the transgender competitor has been through.

Don’t panic. There is not some huge transgender secret about David Arquette that we about to blow. But his sister, Alexis, is transgender. He watched her struggle with that and hopes that featuring Chaz Bono on Dancing with the Stars 13 will help raise awareness and reduce the stigma of being transgender. There has already been controversy about Chaz Bono’s inclusion in the lie-up for DWTS 13.

David Arquette also revealed that he loves to dance and that dance is “a great expression of your spirit” and “a positive way of having a good time.” His seven-year-old daughter Coco is just worried he will embarrass her in tight outfits!

David admits that he would love to win DWTS 13, but is realistic and says that just staying in the competition for a while would be good. He hopes people may get to know him and look at him differently, too, as a result of appearing on the show.
