Derek Hough Quashes ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Season 16 Exit Rumors

Derek Hough has confirmed that he will return to ‘Dancing with the Stars’ for season 16, the full cast of which will be announced tomorrow on ‘Good Morning America.’

Three-time ‘Dancing with the Stars’ professional dancer Derek Hough had earlier this month cast doubt on his returning for the spring season earlier this month, citing his intent to focus on outside projects. But he took to his Twitter account over the weekend to reveal that he will in fact be back in the ballroom once again for season 16.

“Just got the call wasn’t sure if I was able to do this season because of my other projects. But worked it out so I can do both. #pumped,” Hough tweeted.

Last season, the ‘Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars’ cycle, Hough scored a second place finish with his celebrity partner Shawn Johnson.

Other rumored cast members for ‘Dancing with the Stars’ season 16 include ‘The Bachelor’ star Sean Lowe, Olympian Aly Raisman, Wynonna Judd and Kellie Pickler.

The cast will be formally announced on ‘Good Morning America’ on Tuesday (February 26) and the new season of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ returns on Monday, March 18 at 8/7c on ABC.
