Demi Lovato Won’t Be Home for Thanksgiving

Contrary to what you may have read recently, Demi Lovato, the 18 year old Disney Channel star of ‘Sonny with a Chance’ will not be home for Thanksgiving. She is officially receiving treatment for “emotional and physical issues”. It is thought that her problems were nipped in the bud early as Demi cut short her tour with the Jonas Brothers and voluntarily checked herself into the Chicago treatment facility.
Demi is thankfully said to be recovering well in the Chicago clinic but she is committed to her recovery from depression and self-harm issues and won’t be checking out early or going home for Thanksgiving. Perhaps she has seen too many of her peers in and out of rehab when they have mistakenly thought they were cured. Reports from friends say Demi and the staff are happy with her progress.

Her family have rallied around her and have plans to spend the holiday at the clinic with her. The Disney Channel are also said to be supportive. Filming continues on the ‘Sonny with a Chance’ sitcom but program bosses have kept her role open for her and she can return to it as and when she is fit enough to do so.

Let’s hope Demi Lovato makes a full and speedy recovery and is soon ready to be back on our screens. Christmas is just around the corner so hopefully the young Disney Channel star will then be celebrating a strong recovery from her emotional and physical issues.
