Demi Lovato Tweets Upcoming Timbaland Music Collaboration

The Skycraper singer Demi Lovato revealed to fans on her Twitter account that she is going into a Miami recording studio to lay down some tracks with Timbaland this week.

It seems to have been going well, so far. Timbaland later wrote on his own Twitter feed: “Yo @ddlovato you killed dat song I gave u. I just pick 2 more for you from one of the producer out my camp @wizz_dumb for u to do 2morrow. (sic)”

Lovato also got to  meet Missy Elliot, who revealed that Demi is working hard on her music again. Missy Elliot later tweeted: “Nice meeting u at the studio tonight! I know ya gonna do ya thang! Working the late hrs! Lol Have fun!”

It was rumored back in January that Lovato and Timbaland would collaborate, after the record producer posted a YouTube video in praise of Lovato’s musical talent. In it, he admitted that he was very hard to impress, but that Demi had managed to do that. His reaction to her singing was a resounding ‘Wow.’

Timbaland also played an acoustic song that he had written for Lovato in an effort to secure her collaboration.

Lovato released her new single ‘Skyscraper’ earlier this month and later said that she was on “cloud 19” after the track topped the iTunes chart.

Demi Lovato’s third studio album is due to be released on September 20. She told fans on a video chat last week to expect a lighter pop feel than she was previously known for, and more showcasing of her vocal talents.
