Darren Criss: You Won’t Notice My Glee Absence

Darren Criss has reassured his fans that they will hardly notice him being away from Glee. What’s that you say: Darren Criss leaving Glee? Relax, will you. It’s just for a couple of episodes as he hits Broadway to take over from Harry Potter.

But seriously, the actor is taking a break from the Fox musical series to take over from Daniel Radcliffe in Broadway’s How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. However, he claims that he filmed most of his character Blaine’s storylines before his temporary leave of absence from the hit TV show.

He promises that he will only be off our screens for two episodes at the most. With everything else that’s going on this season, he says that fans of the show won’t even notice he’s gone.

“I thought that before I was going to leave, they might write Blaine out just to make things easier on everybody. Nope! Right before I left, Blaine had a lot of really cool things to do for the Michael Jackson episode.”

So, Criss says he went on a marathon filming spree, with everything shot in four days.

Darren Criss makes his debut in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying tonight (January 4). Who’s going to see him?
