‘Dancing with the Stars’ Season 17 Cast Pairings Revealed, Plus Changes to Expect in a 2-Hour Episode Each Week

The official “Dancing with the Stars” season 17 cast and their pro dancer pairings have been announced. On Wednesday the world learned which celebrities would be part of the “DWTS” 2013 fall season and many named were already strongly rumored to appear on the show.

This year “DWTS” will undergo a number of changes, but first learn who the contestants will be!

“Dancing with the Stars” season 17 cast and partner pairings:

Bill Nye (the Science Guy) and new dancer, Tyne Stecklein
Brant Daugherty (Pretty Little Liars, Army Wives) and Peta Murgatroyd
Jack Osbourne (reality TV star) and Cheryl Burke
Bill Engvall (The Bill Engvall Show) and former troupe member Emma Slater
Keyshawn Johnson (former NFL player) and Sharna Burgess
Corbin Bleu (High School Musical) and Karina Smirnoff
Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi (Jersey Shore) and former troupe member Sasha Farber
Christina Milian (singer/actor) and Mark Ballas
Elizabeth Berkley (Showgirls) and Val Chmerkovskiy
Amber Riley (Glee) and Derek Hough
Leah Remini (King of Queens) and Tony Dovolani

Instead of a three and four-hour show split into two nights a week, “DWTS” will be down to one episode — Monday nights for two hours. That will cut out a lot of filler time with guest entertainment before the results are announced. So far all of the pro dancers are excited about the new strategy, but say it will definitely pack a lot into two hours!

The celebraquarium will be moved next to the judges so co-host, Brooke Burke-Charvet can interview couples before they perform. Prior to that, the couples were interviewed AFTER their dances.

There will also be guest entertainment towards the END of the season instead of every week for the results show. In addition to that, there will be some surprises in the way of guest judges on “DWTS.”

“Dancing with the Stars” season 17 will premiere Monday, Sept. 16 on ABC at 8 p.m., ET/PT.
