Dancing with the Stars Premiere TONIGHT: Hope Solo Impressing Maksim Chmerkovskiy

After much talking about it and even more controversy than usual, Dancing with the Stars 13 finally gets its premiere tonight. And Hope Solo is in a good place to win the whole competition, her professional dance partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy is already saying.

That’s fighting talk since they have yet competed at all and who knows how premiere nerves will affect their dancing tonight.

But Maksim said he and Hope are in a “good situation” going into tonight’s premiere. They get along well and their training has been going good.

The ABC dance competition kicks off its new season tonight with another 12 couples taking to the dance floor to compete for the Mirror Ball Trophy.

Dancer Chmerkovskiy and Hope Solo have had to rehearse on the road while Solo completes her pre-Olympic training and games, which has caused some critics to suggest that she will not be ready for Dancing With The Stars 13.

However, Maksim is feeling good going into their first performance.

“I feel good with what we have,” he said and he is confident that US women’s national soccer team goalkeeper Solo “has the routine down.”

There preparation has, he says, been quite calm and without problems. Solo will be competing against celebrities including David Arquette, Chaz Bono, Nancy Grace, Rob Kardashian and Ricki Lake.

On paper, she looks a good bet for the mirror ball trophy, just in terms of fitness and her willingness to put time and dedication into training. But who are you most looking forward to seeing in the Dancing with the Stars 13 premiere tonight?
