It’s the finals! Lots of stars in the audience. And believe it or not, we get right to the dancing. No summaries, no performances by stars and no drama. We get right to the first of two dances of the night. Ricki and Derek do a lively cha-cha. The crowd loves their performance and so did the judges. But the judging is a bit tougher on the night, with some compliments, but a lot more critique. Their score was a 27.
Rob and Cheryl hit the dance floor next and look awesome too. Rob has really come in to his own. Carrie Ann says he is peaking and growing each week. The crowd goes wild for him. Their score is also 27.
JR and Karina show off their moves. But they don’t look as good as they were two weeks ago. Did the injury hurt him in practice this week? It seems so. The judges picked apart his dances and they end up with 24.
The second dance is up! No fooling around this week as there is only one hour! The competition is stiff with a tie between Ricki and JR.
Ricki and Derek come out again and do a bunch of lifts and look awesome. The judges loved it too. Or did they? They seemed to give them lots of compliments, but they still didn’t get any 10s. All 9s again for a second 27. They have a combined total of 54 points, which could easily be beat by Rob.
Bruno said the second dance for Rob and Cheryl was brilliant. Wow. Not bad for a boy with a big bum. Could Rob come in and steal the show from Rick and JR, who looked to be early favorites in the season? They might since they got a 30! Wow! Their total is a 57 and puts them on top.
Last freestyle dance is JR and Karina. Can they really step it up and get a 30? They have to if they want to keep it close. If they get a 30, then they tie with Ricki for 2nd. They come out on the floor and she nails the lifts that she said she was worried about JR being able to do. But can their freestyle rank up there with Rob’s? I don’t think Len will like it at all…crazy dancing on lights. Carrie Ann liked it though. And they DID IT! A 30.
Ricki and JR are tied at 54 and Rob has 57 points. What’s your prediction for tomorrow’s winner?
