Dancing with the Stars 2011 Premiere: Highlights and Who Will Win!

Dancing with the Stars fans were anxiously awaiting tonight’s premiere and, after watching the kick-off show, it’s safe to say this season will be one of the most exciting seasons in DWTS history.

With such an array of personalities competing this season, it will be difficult to predict who will take home the coveted mirror ball trophy. That doesn’t mean I won’t try.

Highlights from Tonight’s Premiere

Wendy Williams – Wendy Williams was the first to cry. If you’re crying before you even take the stage for the first time, it’s a little hard to imagine you making it to the finals – just saying. I like Wendy Williams as much as the next person (I think she’s hilarious on her talk show) but she didn’t quite have quite as much pep in her step on the dancing stage as she does on her talk show.

Petra Nemcova – Petra also cried but for a more serious reason. She was a victim of the 2004 Tsunami. She managed to survive but lost her photographer and friend in the tragedy. The judges said Petra had grace and poise and a natural talent when it comes to dancing.

Lil’ Romeo – Lil’ Romeo ain’t so little anymore. He’s all grown up and he is BIG competition this year!

Kirstie Alley – Kirstie was the clear underdog going into this premiere but she really brought out all the stops tonight. She had, by far, the most intriguing dance of the night and she looked amazing in her tight black, sparkly dress. I wold LOVE to see Kirstie win this competition.

Who Will Last?

There are a few contestants I’m convinced will do well this season. I think that Lil’ Romeo will be a great dancer and will have longevity in the competition. I also think that Chelsea Kane (especially being paired with Mark Ballas) will last for quite some time. Another contestant I expect will do well is Kendra Wilkinson. Many fans think she’ll be the first voted off but I think her captivating personality and energy will keep viewers interested and secure her some votes for at least a few weeks.

Who will be first voted off?

I guess a lot depends on the scores from tonight and who won over the viewers enough to secure additional votes.

My guess is that either Mike Catherwood or Wendy Williams will be first voted off but, hey, stranger things (like Bristol Palin making it to the finals last year) have happened, right?

Should be a very interesting season!

After watching tonight’s premiere, who do you think will be first eliminated and – more importantly – who do you think will win this season?

I’ll keep updating this post with  highlights as I watch the premiere, so be sure to keep refreshing for more of tonight’s best moments!

We’ll be covering DTWS all season so make sure to check back every week for recaps and highlights of each episode!

Nice review, but I’d like to say that maybe you should have some background information of the stars you talk about?
