Courtney was on season 16 of “The Bachelor” with Ben Flajnik. She was the winner when Ben proposed to her. The now 30-year-old model was instantly disliked by fans and fellow contestants on the show, but she managed to keep Ben’s eyes…and heart…only on her throughout the season. Months after their engagement, the couple broke up. Now Courtney is sharing details that reveal her experience as a reality show “villain.”
“Going on The Bachelor was the most amazing opportunity I’ve ever had but I did not have a fairy tale ending!” Courtney told Us Weekly. “The girls hated me, my modeling career was destroyed and Ben and I had a tumultuous 11-month relationship that ultimately imploded. There are two sides to every story.”
She continued, “I wanted a chance to talk about what went down from my perspective, because I think there are a lot of misconceptions out there about me.”
Will Courtney manage to convince people of her side of the story? She added that writing the book was good for her because she was able to explore what was important to her.
“Writing the book has been very cathartic — I’ve definitely learned a lot about myself and love!” she said. “I think fans of the show are going to love it, it’s totally juicy and hilarious.”
