Could Troublemaker Scot Ashley Brown Be America’s Next Top Model?

A Scottish girl branded a serial troublemaker is to star in America’s Next Top Model Cycle 18.

A revamped version of the hit TV show will see Ashley Brown and six other models from the UK take on seven American hopefuls for the title

Ashley is the only Scottish girl taking part in the series, which will also feature Briths guest judges such as Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle, singer Kelly Osbourne and TV host Cat Deeley.

Mom-of-two Ahley Brown is hoping her American audience will judge her less harshly than she experienced when she reached the final four in Britain’s Next Top Model three years ago.

Ashley (23) from Livingston, West Lothian, even had strangers abusing her in the street after the show, in which she had several arguments with fellow contestants.

Nasty comments about her children and sly insults about stretch marks set her off into a cycle of tantrums and angry outbursts.

But tensions are set to run high once again as Ashely bids to win modeling contracts in the US.

Ashley said,

“I’d said I’d never do another reality TV show but I couldn’t pass up such a great opportunity. I felt privileged to be asked to do the show.”

She says she does not intend to start any trouble because she will be in trouble with her mother when she gets home if she does.

“Britain’s Next Top Model was three years ago and people change, so I hope I come across better than I did the last time,” she said.

We shall soon see. America’s Next Top Model Cycle 18 starts February 29.
