Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller Avoid Court!

Charlie Sheen and his soon-to-be ex-wife, Brooke Mueller, have apparently avoided a court custody battle over their young twin sons.

The ex-couple were due in court today, Friday, to reach a decision over custody of their 23-month-old twin boys, Bob and Max. However, frantic negotiations were going on behind the scenes, with each of the parents’ attorneys desperate to strike a deal and keep the case out of a public court, where it was bound to get very messy indeed, given the history of drugs and alcohol abuse from both Charlie and Brooke.

It seems a fragile peace has been agreed between the former couple, although details of the custody arrangement have not been released. However, with the way of the world now, even if Charlie Sheen doesn’t continue his free fall into total meltdown and blab the arrangement to journalists in the next few hours, you can expect details of the custody arrangement to hit the Internet by Monday at the latest. Of course, we’ll bring you what we know. We wouldn’t want you to miss out!

So why is there to be no custody court case following the way Sheen, 45, was forced to surrender the 23-month old boys to his estranged wife when she got a restraining order alleging that he physically and mentally abused her? Well, when you consider that Sheen’s response to losing his kids was to post online photographic proof of Brooke’s own drug abuse as evidence that she was an unfit mother, you can see that both parents had a lot to lose in any public court case.

So what do you think? Is it best that the Sheen twins’ custody gets settled out of court? What are the chances of a Sheen-Mueller peace pact holding?
