Fans of “Celebrity Big Brother 2011” will be able to enter the house to watch an advance screening of “Fright Night” alongside the celebrities. The opportunity is offered as part of a product placement competition which is a first for British TV.
Channel 5 and Touchstone Pictures have teamed up on a product placement deal which will see horror remake “Fright Night” feature in “Celebrity Big Brother.”
An advance screening of the movie, starring David Tennant and Colin Farrell will feature as a reward for housemates in an upcoming task.
Three viewers will also win the chance to bring along a friend each to the “Celebrity Big Brother” compound at Elstree compound to watch “Fright Night” with celebrities such as Kerry Katona, Amy Childs, Jedward and Tara Reid.
The competition will be promoted through an integrated TV, press and social media campaign. It is a first of its kind and a very exciting move for the program.
As well as securing primary sponsorship from Freederm, a number of commercial deals with brands including Dominos Pizza and Lucozade are in place for the new series of Big Brother.
“Fright Night” opens in US cinemas today and on September 2 in the UK.
