Celebrity Apprentice Recap: NeNe Quits and Star is Fired

The girls took a double whammy on Sunday night’s “Celebrity Apprentice”. The shake-up of the teams and the return of LaToya Jackson did not go down so well and NeNe had finally had enough.

There was a big change on the NBC hit in the latest episode. It is no longer the girls against the boys. The two teams were re-formed as follows:

Meatloaf, Star Jones and Marlee Matlin on one team and NeNe Leakes, LaToya Jackson, Lil’ John and John Rich on the other.

But NeNe didn’t even give the new line-up a chance. The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” beauty texted her team-mates to tell them she was quitting. She couldn’t even face them to say:

“I can’t stand this environment – it’s too negative. I can’t stand being around Star.”

Trump found that cowardly and told her she was a quitter. As far as he was concerned, she was fired!

To rub salt in the wounds he told her, “Star Jones kicked your a** whether you liked it or not.”

NeNe Leakes took to Twitter to defend herself and say, “Your damned if u do & damned if u don’t! It’s great TV 4 u guys but all the things that were happening there wasn’t good 4 me.”

Meatloaf, Star Jones and Marlee Matlin lost this week’s challenge, regardless of Trump’s praise of Star. He told her that her marketing strategy “missed the mark” and that just about sealed her fate.

Trump fired Star Jones.

“Celebrity Apprentice” airs on Sundays at 9/8c on NBC but with the warring Star and NeNe gone, and Meatloaf’s old sparring partner Gary Busey long gone, who can we rely upon for our entertainment?
