Celebrity Apprentice 2012 Recap: Puppet Up

‘The Celebrity Apprentice’ had its usual share of drama last night in an episode which saw the men lose a task and Paul get fired. But would Aubrey be back?

At least it was a fun task: to design two original puppets and improvise with a Henson Alternative troupe. But with one player feeling pushed out, the sparks soon flew

With Lou being fired last week, to balance the teams up Forte had to pick a member of Unanimous and it is Clay who is selected to switch teams and join Dayana, Lisa andPenn.

At FAO Schwarz with Brian Henson the teams began work adult puppets. Lisa was Forte’s project manager while Paul was Unanimous’ leader. But he seemed to have no idea what he was doing or why. That left them drifting aimlessly, until we discovered that Arsenio had a talent for improvisation.

Penn was too tall to be a puppeteer so he had to host. Lisa is told by Clay to put on a Spanish accent, which offended Dayana. Lisa tried to get her involved in cutting and pasting wardrobes but there was more arguing than working going on. Still it was funny.

Paul’s total inability to lead is team in this task upset Aubrey. Penn did his best, as always.

Talking of total inability – how about Teresa’s non-existent skills as a puppeteer?

But then things kicked off with Lisa screaming, cursing and telling Dayana to do whatever she wants and resenting having to make a job for her to do. Clay, along with Penn, tried to calm things so they are in the right mood to give a comedy routine.

That had Lisa even more upset. But in the task she and Clay made a decent job of sparking off each other.

The judges were very impressed with how much the teams had accomplished in one day. Aubrey did a great job setting things up and they felt Arsenio was really solid. Oh and they felt Teresa was breaking all the rules with sexing things up too much.

Lisa and Dayana openly admitted to Donald they did not think much of each other. Lisa’s tears weren’t very convincing, though.

I loved how Paul was honest with Donald too, telling him he did not know anything about puppets. We figured!

The execs thought that Penn, Lisa and Clay did a great job. But Penn missed a few cues. They thought that some of the acts were too sexual and crossed the line. They loved Arsenio’s puppets and thought Aubrey had great instincts as a host.

So who won? Lisa’s team so they bagged $20,000 for her charity.

So Paul had to bring someone back to the boardroom. Donald thought he should have brought Arsenio back and not Aubrey. So Donald fired Paul!

Do you think that was fair?
