Celebrity Apprentice 2012 Recap: Crystal Light Mocktail Party

Last week, Lou Ferrigno overcame his team’s criticism and as Project Manager he led his team to victory in the task. So this week he got to donate the $50,000 he won to Abbey Umali after he was moved by her story.  Lou fought back tears as he heard of her plight, as it brought back memories of his own painful upbringing.

He said on the show, “I’m giving $50,000 that I won from my charity to Abbey… Close to birth…I lost like 80 per cent of my hearing and I had difficulty speaking. It had always been a challenge for me but as a kid when I was growing up, you never wanted to feel sorry for yourself, ever. I feel like I went back in time to when I was a child. She reminded me of what I had when I was young.”

On last night’s show the Celebrities’ hosting skills were put to the test when Donald Trump told the teams they would be putting on a party to promote Crystal Light. One team created the ultimate beach experience, complete with beach balls and bikini babes, while the other team created an exotic Garden of Eden. Guess which was which!

The show opened with Lisa unhappy about some of the things said in the boardroom and determined to get rid of Patricia and Dayana. I really, really don’t like her.

So the teams got to hear aboutCrystallight, a successful brand for a long time now, and about their new brand called the Mocktail. The teams’ task Lst episde was to throw a fabulous Crystal Light Mock launch party.

The men chose Clay Aikins as the Project Manager and the ladies chose Aubrey O’Day.  Each team had a mocktail: the men have the Peach Belini and the ladies have the Pom-tini.

Aparently none of the guys are party men, so they struggled with a theme but the girls were all over it for their pomegranate mocktail. Aubrey told the ladies that in some cultures they think the apple is not the forbidden fruit; they think the pomegranate is. They came up with the line the unforbidden fruit. I was liking their idea up to that point but as a one-liner it seemed a bit clumsy.

The execs fromCrystallight told the ladies they are looking for sassy, vibrant and fun. Three words made Aubrey nervous about their idea: Garden of Eden.

Over at the men’s team the execs told the men that there is something unique about Crystal Light it is party in a pack. That gave Clay the heads up that they needed to think more in the line of fun.

Clay suggest using a play on the “Life’s a Beach” saying and to instead use “Life’s a Peach” with a beach theme.Dee liked the idea.

The women decided to do Popsicles. Theresa loves to entertain and she does parties all the time. Teresa has been told she has exquisite taste so she took care of the furniture. Aubrey had asked Debbie to write an originalCrystallight song while Patricia took care of branding. Lisa was obnoxious as usual, telling Patricia she would spell check and proof read everything Patricia does. Lisa went to Aubrey and told on Patricia. Patricia thinks Aubrey and Lisa are horrible and she is so right, isn’t she?

Over on the boys’ team, Clay took charge and told everyone how to set up the window display to look like a beach. Penn really made an effort, stung by the boardroom comments the previous week.

Deetook care of signage while complaining that the guys were inviting too many people in an effort to make their party look fun.

Clay told Ivanka Trump that none of the guys drink and don’t really party. I was frustrated at this point as the whole idea of MOCKtails seemed to have passed him by. Really they would be perfect for the guys. But at least Clay told her Penn was contributing well to the task.

Don Jr. thought the girls were missing the fun from their theme, and Teresa became even more of a party pooper, disliking the slogan, ‘Stir your healthy desire.’ Lisa thought she was only complaining about that for something to use in the boardoom later.

Debbie and Dayana fared better, in the park taking pictures of the flowers to put on the walls.  Aubrey said the photos were beautiful and they were. Aubrey also sent Debbie to the studio to record an original song for Crystal Light. But she found Patricia difficult because she does not get everything approved. Patricia just considered Lisa and Aubrey back-stabbers.

The songs seemed to be going well for both teams but Clay felt pressurized. And so did the girls when, on getting the photos back, Aubrey realized there were noCrystallight pictures.  Oh and the carpet man didn’t arrive on time either.

In contrast, things seemed to be coming together for the boys on Day 2. The Signage did not look exactly like Clay wanted but it was okay.  He hoped that having a unique idea would be good and them him win the task. Paul just got bored, opening cocktail umbrellas.

At the ladies team the carpet guy finally showed up.  The Popsicles showed up and they were messy.  But Aubrey liked their chic event with a lounge feel.

The men’s party started with no guests so they started practically dragging people in off the streets. But they needn’t have worried as soon there were lots of people and they were dancing and having a good time. They even limboed, which looked a lot of fun.

But would it be enough?

The girls also seemed pretty happy with their party. When the Crystal Light execs arrived they got Debbie to get up and sing the song she wrote forCrystallight.  The whole theme more or less sucked but the song by Debbie Gibson was great. At least the ladies pulled together more than usual.

Clay sang too: Under the Boardwalk. And the execs walked in on a party in full swing.

Donald Trump met with the execs from Crystal Light.  They loved the atmosphere the men created.  They loved the song that Debbie Gibson created.  The execs felt Aubrey was the star of her team because she acted like a marketing exec.  They thought the men’s team should have more branding.  They felt that the ladies should have had more branding about Crystal Light and not just the drink they were promoting.

Over at the Boardroom the ladies were sure they won.  Teresa told Donald that Aubrey did an amazing job.  Even Patricia agreed the ladies did a great job and that the women realize they have to get along to win.  Lisa told Donald she is 99% sure they won.  Donald asked Debbie to sing the song she created for Crystal Light and Aubrey let him know that she gave the CD of Debbie singing to everyone that was at the party.

Teresa said she would fire Dayana if they lose.  Dayana would fire Aubrey the project manager.  Lisa said she would fire Dayana but she did step up this week.  Dayana defended herself because she brought beautiful people to the party MissUSA, and she took the pictures for the party.  But Donald told the ladies the execs really liked the job they did. So maybe they will be OK.

Donald also told Clay the execs loved him.  Arsenio thought Clay did a fantastic job, as did Dee who also said that the team was very strong. Deewas blown away by Clay.   Penn admitted he had no way of judging a good party but he thought Clay did a fantastic job.   Donald put Clay on the spot and asked him who he would bring back. Clay said it would be Dee, Lou or Paul.

Aubrey would bring back Dayana and Patricia.

Donald Jr. told the ladies the execs loved their theme of your healthy desire.  They thought the party was polished and chic.  But they thought they was not enough focus on the brand.

Ivanka said the execs loved the men’s team and the party atmosphere.  They liked the bartenders but wanted to see more signage. Deeput the signs up with Clay’s supervision.

Donald starts by saying the execs loved both teams.

Aubrey told Donald her heart would be broken if she did not win. That’s unfortunate because the men won and Clay got $50,000 for his charity.  He was thrilled to have won the money but upset because he had to say bad things about three people he likes.

Aubrey cried and Donald gave her $10,000 for her charity.  Then Lisa started to cry. Her charity got nothing.

Aubrey decided she would bring back Dayana and Patricia.  She said she is invaluable herself so shouldn’t be fired. When asked who did the signage and who focused on Pomtini, Aubrey claimed that she made it clear that she wanted Pomtini and Crystal Light equally big.

Yeah, whatever, Aubrey. Patricia got your approval for all the signage.

Aubrey decided to bring Patricia and Dayana back to the boardroom.

At the end Donald, Donald Jr and Ivanka put the loss down to the printing and Donald decided to fire Patricia.

Lisa is judgmental thinks she’s high and mighty. Creative people cannot think around such negative, self absorbed, finger pointing , rancor laden, toxic producing entities. Some piece of work. A very unhappy person. GET A LIFE! BECOME A REAL PERSON. MS.PERFECTIONIST= DESTRUCTION .NO TEAM BUILDING.
