Sean had a hard time deciding which woman was right for him during the entire finale episode. Both Lindsay Yenter and Catherine told Sean they loved him, but he didn’t reciprocate their feelings verbally. Catherine found that hard to accept and had an emotional moment….fearing that her risk would make her more vulnerable to being hurt. As a result, she wrote Sean a heartfelt letter
Sean’s mother advised against her son proposing if he wasn’t sure about who he wanted to marry. He understood and took in what she said, but he really believed one of the two women was the right one for him.
By the end of the show, Sean broke down in tears over the thought of hurting one of the ladies. He dreaded the look on her face when he told her she wasn’t the one he picked.
Onto the last few moments……
Lindsay was the first to see Sean. They looked into one another’s eyes and Sean told her it was the “toughest thing I ever had to do.” He admitted he had searched for clarity and had been confused up to that day. She was understandably upset and resisted Sean’s apologetic explanation. She worried something was wrong with her, but he reassured her it wasn’t. The bad part is, he actually added “I love you” as she made her way to the limo.
Sean gets a letter handed to him from Chris Harrison right after saying goodbye to Lindsay. What was inside it? All of the spoilers basically over-dramatized what was inside. It was a letter that further convinced Sean he made the right choice. She let him know how deeply in love with him she fell after being skeptical about going on “The Bachelor.”
When Catherine arrived, she was in a stunning form-fitting gold dress. She was nervous and unaware of what Sean’s decision was, but she held her head up high and walked up to Sean, who let his feelings be known.
“I knew from the beginning that you were someone I wanted to be around,” Sean said. “I just had no idea my feelings would turn into what they did. I think the world of you and I miss you every time we have to say goodbye. I miss you. I don’t want to say goodbye anymore.”
With that, Sean got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.
“Catherine, will you marry me?”
“Oh my gosh…yes!” Catherine asked. “Is this for real?”
“This is for real,” Sean said. He repeatedly told her how much he loved her.
After Sean gave her the final rose, the pair boarded an elephant and rode off into the sunset. They didn’t show how Catherine managed to jump on with her gold dress on!
What do you think of Catherine being “The Bachelor” 2013 winner?
