Casadee was the presumed frontrunner for a while, especially after the likes of Amanda Brown and Trevin Hunte were eliminated. But who knows where public voting is concerned?
In the end, the established fan base of Cassadee saw her triumph over the more idiosyncratic likes of Terry McDermott and Nicholas David (who were awarded second and third place, respectively).
Cassadee Pope’s may have had an unfair advantage, bringing with her fans of her old band, Hey Monday, but anyone who has been watching “The Voice” in the last few weeks must have considered her the one to beat, especially after she gave an emotional performance of Blake Shelton’s “Over You.”
Trevin and Amanda’s exits made Cassadee’s win seem even more likely. The surprises came in the form of the brand new Kia’s awarded to the finalists, and Christina Milian calling Kelly Clarkson “the biggest artist on the planet.”
Just before the results were announced, Cassadee told her fellow finalists, Terry and Nicolas,
“I love you guys. You’re the weirdest, most amazing men I’ve ever met.I’m going to miss hanging out with you every single day. I would happy to lose to either one of them, but to win would just be absolutely incredible.”
Well, win she did. Is Cassadee Pope your winner? (You all know she was mine.) Is there hope for her after the kindly host revealed that Avril Lavigne is”her hero”?
