Carrie Ann Inaba Accepts On Air Engagement

“Dancing with the Stars” host Carrie Ann Inaba has got engaged! She was on the receiving end of the surprise of her life with an on-air engagement from her boyfriend of the past two years, Jesse Sloan.

Carrie Ann is substituting for Kelly Ripa on “Live! with Regis and Kelly” which is where she got her romantic surprise. Ironically, at the top of the show, Regis and Kelly dealt with the rumors of Inaba’s engagement. She said she was keen to get engaged but apparently, her boyfriend wasn’t!

Well, it seems Jesse Sloan had hid his true feelings pretty well. Towards the end of the show, Regis took a question from “a hopeless romantic”.

“Regis I need your help, I love my girlfriend, and I want to propose but I’m not sure how to ask her. I really want to do something romantic and special.”

Then something really special happened. The lights dimmed and romantic music could be heard as Sloan appeared on set. He got down on one knee and said to Inaba,

“You’re an inspiration, you’re beautiful, you’re wonderful, you’re everything to me. Will you marry me?”

A public proposal is always a risk, of course but Inaba could hardly wait to accept. Speaking through her tears of joy, she said, “Yes I will marry you.”

The engagement ring is a 2 ½-carat, princess cut diamond solitaire in a D-color, set in a platinum band.

We’d like to extend our congratulations to Carrie Ann Inaba and Jesse Sloan!
