What went down: after a pretty shaky duet between Carly and LeAnn on the X Factor finale, fans of the show took to social media sites in their droves, to speculate whether LeAnn was drunk for her performance. There certainly appeared to be times when LeAnn was leaning pretty heavily on teen Carly. But LeAnn took exception to this slur, saying the performance was below par because Carly Rose was “nervous and had trouble hitting the right notes” when she sang “How Do I Live.”
How dare she say that, was the reaction from Carly’s family (and a good deal of the people who were watching the show, including me!)
The family have retaliated, saying that the so-called star trashed Carly’s X Factor performance Tuesday night.
Sources connected with the family say that 13-year-old Carly’s mother is particularly livid that Rimes would dare blame her daughter for the unexpectedly poor performance.
We brought you the story yesterday: Rimes insisted she was sober for the performance and all she was doing was “trying to help this 13-year-old girl who was having some trouble with the song.”
Apparently that is a direct quote from LeAnn Rimes which her rep specifically allowed TMZ to use when they broke the story.
Carly Rose’s mother and other family members are shocked that LeAnn threw their daughter under the bus, and that it was clearly Carly Rose who acted like a pro and even out-performed LeAnn at her own song.
What do you think?
