Brooke Mueller has apparently changed her mind about entering full-time rehab for her drug and alcohol problems. She has already checked herself into a residential treatment center, according to her rep, despite denying that she would do that, as late as yesterday. Her reason had been her young family. Now it seems she has gotten over that objection. Is her decision prompted by her being due in court later this week?
Mueller’s rep, Steve Honig, said that after reflecting upon her position and some consideration of her options, Brooke has decided “to remove herself from the media spotlight.”
She “has entered a long-term in-patient treatment center where she can focus on her recovery without distraction.”
His statement, released today, stated that Brooke was already at the center but he refused to name which one, to protect her privacy while she seeks treatment. He said that she was focused on attaining sobriety and serious about her recovery.
While she undergoes treatment, Brooke will retain custody of her children, two-yea-old twin boys Bob and Max. They will remain in their home and familiar surroundings and be under the care of their long-time nanny. Brooke’s parents will, as ever, take a significant role in looking after the children. They, and Brooke’s ex-husband and father of her children Charlie Sheen are also said to be fully supportive of Brooke entering residential rehab.
Brooke Mueller had previously refused residential rehab because she wanted to stay home with her kids. I guess she changed her mind with her impending court appearance looming.
