Britney Spears Walks Off ‘The X Factor’ Set

Britney Spears had only been judging for a few hours when she stormed off ‘The X Factor’ because she didn’t like the way a contestant performed one of her songs.

When a contestant butchered her song ‘Hold It Against Me,’ Britney really did hold it against them and got up and walked off the judging panel.

The remaining contestants carried on auditioning for the other judges: Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid and Demi Lovato.

A show insider tried to cover over the cracks, insisting that Britney wasn’t upset over the song; she ‘just needed a break.’

As Britney’s walkout occurred on the very first day of filming, how well does that bode for her future on the show? ‘X Factor’ creator Simon Cowell previously admitted that there was a chance that Britney Spears would not be able to cope; however, he said that if she had a meltdown it would be ‘TV gold.’ Is he about to get his wish?

Britney Spears had had a manicure for the occasion, too. She had previously appeared at the announcement that she and Demi Lovato were about to join the judging panel, with bitten fingernails and chewed skin. But her nails looked great again, right before she walked off the show.

Reports say that she did in fact return to her seat but they don’t say how long Britney was away from the judging panel.
