This has been an emotional weekend for Bobbi Kristina Brown. First was her mom Whitney Houston’s homegoing service on Saturday at which family and stars (and some stars who were also family) paid tribute to the singing superstar. Then yesterday was a much more private ceremony for Whitney’s burial.
But it all proved too much for the teenage Bobbi, apparently, especially as she no doubt knew how draining the following day would be too.
After the homegoing, Bobbi, whom her family have recently feared is suicidal over her mother’s death, went missing.
She was allegedly found “doing drugs.”
Worse: Bobbi Kristina was apparently not found until Sunday morning, shortlybefore they were to leave for Whitney’s burial.
“Everyone was freaking out and calling Bobbi Kristina’s cell,” one source, a longtime family friend apparently told The Daily Beast, the website for Newsweek magazine.
A spokesperson tried to downplay the situation, and said the teen isn’t on drugs, but Cissy, Whitney’s mother, and other members of her family have apparently been concerned about her for some time and wanting her to go to rehab.
Now, when she has had to go through the ordeal of losing her mother in such circumstances, the family are said to be very concerned about Bobbi Kristina.
She was hospitalized twice in the first twelve hours after her mother was found unconscious and unresponsive in the bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on February 11.
People who know the family are hoping they can set aside their differences with Bobby Brown, Whitney’s ex-husband and father to Bobbi, and come together to help the teen.
Today there have been unconfirmed reports that Bobby Brown has cancelled his remaining tour dates to be with his daughter, although the Houston family have so far kept him away from her. The former couple may have reconciled, but Whitney’s family still blame him for getting Whitney into drugs.
