Blue Ivy Carter, baby daughter of Jay-Z and Beyonce who turns 1 today (January 7), has her own luxurious hangout in the Barclays Center entertainment and sports center while her parents sit courtside at Brooklyn Nets games.
According to US Weekly, Jay-Z is renting a basement suite for $1 million a year at the Barclay’s Center, the new sports and concert venue in Jay-Z’s native Brooklyn.
The basement hangout includes a large area filled with Blue Ivy’s baby toys and gear. The VIP space is the most expensive of the 11 suites to rent in the Barclays Center. Known as The Vault, according to the venue’s website, the area is the “unseen scene” for the elite crowd and was “inspired by Jay-Z himself.”
As well as serving as a crèche for Blue Ivy, it’s also a lace for her parents’ A-list celebrity friends to hang out. It is equipped with a Champagne bar and giant TV screen.
“Jay lets his friends use his digs when he’s not there,” a source revealed.
He décor is stylish chrome and glass, which does not sound too safe for a one year old, but apparently Blue Ivy’s playroom hangout is in a separate part of the suite, away from the Champagne bar – and presumably with less glass around that little ones don’t do so great around.
Blue Ivy’s famous parents and their friends can often be seen courtside at many Nets games and of course concerts are their thing, so it’s likely the private space at the Barclays Center will get plenty of use – but…$1 million?!!!
