After what has been a tough year for Billy Ray Cyrus, not least because of problems with his wayward daughter, Miley Cyrus, the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer feels like life is back on track, and most importantly that he’s “got my Miley back.” And Miley denies being drunk in recent paparazzi photographs.
The touching statement comes as part of a pre-recorded interview which will air on “The View” today. He says he and daughter, Miley, are resolving their problems and he says their current relationship is “the best it’s ever been.”
For Billy Ray, that means that the relationship is back to her pre-Hannah Montana days. He blames the show for the deterioration in their father-daughter relationship.
“We have laughed a lot in the last couple of days,” said Billy Ray. Long may that continue. Every girl needs her Daddy and he seems to have Miley’s best interests at heart, even though he overstepped the mark, going public about their trouble family relationship as a string of scandals emerged about the young star. He doesn’t blame Miley, but her advisors.
They are now working hard to mend their relationship.
Billy Ray Cyrus also said Miley denies being drunk in recent photographs which appear to show her falling down in a New York bar. At 18, she is below the legal age of alcohol consumption.
In a phone call with her father after he asked her if she was drunk in those photos, Miley had this to say:
“ ‘Daddy, I wasn’t. I had a meeting with Dr. Luke’ and I happen to know that Dr. Luke is one of the greatest songwriters in the world right now, he wrote Party in the U.S.A. and Miley’s working on a new album”.
She says it was the numerous camera flashes that caused her reaction. They startled her. So what do you think, looking at the photo again: startled or drunk? Either way, mending the father-daughter relationship has to be good, doesn’t it?
