“Big Brother 15″ is under an intense scandal due to some of their houseguests making racist and homophobic remarks during Live Feeds coverage online. TMZ reports that Aaryn Gries and GinaMarie Zimmerman have been fired from their jobs since their prejudices have been aired.
Aaryn was let go from Zaphyr Talent agency in Austin for insulting an Asian-American houseguest by saying, “shut up and go and make some rice” in addition to calling a gay houseguest a “queer,” and saying this about a black houseguest: “Be careful what you say in the dark, you might not be able to see that b*tch.”
“We certainly find the statements made by Aaryn on the live Internet feed to be offensive. Upon much consideration, we have decided to release Aaryn from her contract with Zephyr Talent.”
Adding to the “Big Brother 15″ scandal is GinaMarie. She was seen and heard online saying the N-word. She was a pageant coordinator for East Coast USA Pageant, Inc., but the organization dropped her as of Wednesday.
“We have never known this side of GinaMarie or have ever witnessed such acts of racism in the past,” the organization said in a statement. “We are actually thankful that this show let us see GinaMarie for who she truly is. We would never want her to be a role model to our future contestants.”
The statement added, “In a business where we are surrounded by beauty every day we are saddened to see something so ugly come from someone we put on a very high pedestal.”
If “Big Brother 15″ was looking for extra publicity, they certainly got it. It may not be what CBS had in mind, but controversy is well at work this season!
