Bentley Williams’ Ex-Wife: The Bachelorette Ruined Our Relationship

Bentley Williams’ ex-wife thought she was getting back together with him before he appeared on “The Bachelorette.” That is the shock claim she made in a “Star” interview. But now she thinks she had a lucky escape!

After Suzette Davis saw how cruel Bentley was to Bachelorette Ashley Hebert, she says she is barely speaking to him.

“We were best friends,” says Suzette (31) of their life prior to “The Bachelorette.” The former couple have a two-year-old daughter, Cozette, together.

Now, after the series, Suzette says she and Bentley Williams hardly speak to each other. She says there is no chance they will get back together, even for the sake of their daughter. Before the show, she had been hoping that was a possibility.

Suzette said that becoming estranged from Bentley Williams was “worst fear coming true.” She has now restricted Bentley’s access to his young daughter. That is particularly ironic as Bentley used his daughter as an excuse for ditching Ashley Hebert and leaving “The Bachelorette,” although he later returned.

“He still sees his daughter, but the rules between us have changed,” Suzette tells “Star” magazine. “He doesn’t see her as often. He just doesn’t want to be here.”

Bentley Williams and Suzette Davis married  in 2007 and despite divorcing two years later, they remained “very close.”

Now, after seeing Bentley on TV  in “The Bachelorette,” Suzette admits she can’t look at him in the same way. She has lost trust in him and feels herself questioning everything he does.

Bentley has claimed he was edited to look bad in the show, but Suzette places the blame squarely on her ex-husband. If he hadn’t been so awful in the things he said and did toward Ashley Hebert then he wouldn’t have been able to be edited in that way, she says.

“Now it’s haunting him, me and eventually, his daughter. All of us are paying the price.”
