Bachelor Spoiler: Chantal and Emily Go Head to Head

For followers of this blog, Shawntel’s departure will not have come as a surprise and you probably have a good idea of Brad’s eventual pick. But that means the battle is now on between Emily Maynard and Chantal O’Brien.

Spoiler alert: Many of us hope we are wrong, but we still think Brad picks Chantal over our favorite, Emily.

However, as yet, both ladies are still in the game. So, let’s have a look at the good, the bad – and there’s nothing ugly about either girl!

Chantal O’Brien

The good: She’s a smart cookie with a stable job working for her Dad’s O’Brien Auto Group). Her family is rich and she has no problem relocating to Texas to be with Brad

The bad: She’s a demanding, arrogant and downright crazy. She will definitely take Brad on what he likes to call “an emotional roller-coaster” and he looks like the idea terrifies him.

Emily Maynard

The good: She’s an adorable sweetheart with some good common sense. Family is important to Em’. That said, did anyone else think it odd we only saw Emily’s daughter in the hometown date, not her parents or anyone else?

The bad: The death of her fiance, Ricky Hendrick, in 2004, still clearly weighs heavy on her mind. A career is proving difficult for Emily as she is single parent to her daughter and that will also mean Brad would have an instant family and have to fit straight into the role of stepfather. Relocating to Texas would obviously take the child away from her schoolfriends.

Put like that, Chantal has a good chance. Sigh! Chantal vs. Emily? Head or heart? Who do you want Brad to choose?

I think thats just part of being a “Southern gal” We southern ladies have a way about us that is instilled in us as young girls. Drama is a BAD thing, always be polite and hospitable. Southern hospitality goes a long way!

I agree about Emily being the next bachelorette with a child, ala Jason Resnick who was a single parent as well..
I love Emily and I would love to see a bunch of hot guys vying for her affection..maybe someone more like 28-30 years old :)
tho Brad is very hot..he is what..14 years her senior?
what was wrong with some hot 35 year olds?
    Chantal is old enough :)

I think Emily is gorgeous and a REAL person, with a huge heart who deserves real happiness, however, it does feel like Brad and Chantal have the stronger connection. If Emily is interested, she should be asked to be the next bachelorette and her daughter should be able to live with her and they can film it over the Summer so she won’t have to miss school. I would love to see her have her pick of men!!!! She is such a rare combination; not too many perfect 10′s out there who are not crazy or full of themselves. She is a catch!!!

I love Chantal. From the first night, I knew they had a great connection, and it continues to show how easily they “click” I think they are good together.
