The causes of the clash were numerous, but the most notable was the claim made my Kapoor that Anna Nicole Smith was not a drug addict. She died of a drug overdose February 8, 2007 in a Hollywood, Florida hotel room.

Last year, Dr, Kapoor was found not guilty of conspiring to unlawfully provide controlled substances to the late reality TV star. Dr. Drew was deeply unimpressed with his attempts to downplay his misconduct. Dr. Kapoor had had sexual relation with his infamous patient, Anna Nicole.

“[It was] one day out of a 3-year history,” Kapoor said. “It was a party situation and it was one day, and I admit there was a judgment situation involved in that,” he said of the one-night-stand with Smith.

When pressed by Dr. Drew to say whether attending a party with one’s patient was inappropriate, Kapur tried his best to evade the issue. Eventually, he said he believed certain social engagements, such as dinner parties, were appropriate with patients.

Dr. Drew replied: “I can tell you as an addictionologist, you never, never [party] with an addict. You try not to cross those boundaries with an addict because they have horrible, horrible boundaries.”

Kapoor quickly tried to shoot that down, denying the assumption could necessarily be made that Anna Nicole Smith was an addict. But Dr. Drew was having none of that. He pointed out how her death was caused by addiction and an overdose.

“She wasn’t found to be an addict in the court – that was one of the issues that was discussed heavily,” Kapoor said. “Under my care, she was not a drug addict.”

Dr. Drew pointed out how Smith had had so many painkillers injected into her gluteal muscle (her butt, to you and me) over time that part of her rear took on a woody texture with scarring. She was also developing a staph infection in the region, which had to have hastened her premature death at 39.

Dr. Drew also pointed out that Smith had been treated at the Betty Ford clinic, and to be allowed treatment there, she had to fit the criteria of an addict.

Game to Dr. Drew?

The “Dr. Drew” show airs weeknights on HLN at 9 ET/PT.

It seems that the star of “Real Housewives of D.C” does not have an  addiction, after all. Michaele is perhaps most well known for her attempt to star, made famous for her attempt to crash a State Dinner at the White House. It seems,  she tried the same trick again with her attempt to gate-crash the Celebrity Rehab because, as her own husband, Tareq, categorically states, “she doesn’t have an addiction.”

What? Not even an addiction to being bat-shit crazy and poking her nose  in where it’s not wanted? It seems, however, that Michaele did have a  reason to want to be on the show. She was, again according to Tareq, who ought to know this stuff, “leaning on Dr. Drew to help treat her
[multiple sclerosis], which has been directly affected by our ordeal with the White House. What she needs is help managing her stress and her illness.”

Well, call me unsympathetic if you want to, but didn’t Michaele cause her own stress over that? Perhaps she should have stayed home that night and had food delivered.

The show’s producers, VH1, have conformed that Michaele has been declared ineligible for the series, since “The treatment program that Celebrity Rehab documents is intended for individuals with serious substance abuse and addiction issues,” Michaele “doesn’t fit the criteria” and as a result, “is no longer participating in the program.”

Michaele is said to be “devastated” and has claimed that firing her from “Celebrity Rehab” is “a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act”. No, her having MS, was not the problem. Michaele not having an addiction was the issue: the clue is in the show’s title.

This is an historic occasion, the first time Bond has ever been directed by a woman. The lucky lady this time is Jane Russell, who has worked on hit movies such as “Kick-Ass”.

The idea is that if M successfully challenges an old-style womanizer like Bond to consider gender inequality, then viewers may do the same.

Aguilera was escorted into custody at Hollywood’s Sheriff sub-station at 2.45am this morning, Tuesday March 1st and released on a misdemeanour offence. Christina was arrested for being under the influence of alcohol in public. Her boyfriend, Matthew Rutler, who was arrested with her, was suspected of the more serious offence of Driving Under the Influence (DUI).

No details of any upcoming charges have been released but bail for Rutler was set at $30,000. The amount for Christina’s bail has not been revealed.

The arrest marks yet another incident in Christina Aguilera’s recent past, since she split from her husband of 5 years, music executive Jordan Bratman, with whom she has a 3 year old son, Max. Christina has since filed for divorced but it is not known on what grounds. However, the ex-couple are determined to remain friendly for the sake of their child.

In this latest incident in LA, Christina was reported to be “extremely intoxicated” and “unable to take care of herself”. However, if Bratman had not been driving while under the influence of alcohol, neither or them would have been arrested.

It looks like Christina has been partying a little too hard with her new boyfriend. It has also emerged that friends of Christina have been attempting to get her to check into rehab “for weeks” now. So who do you think is leading whom astray there?

First he was in the hospital with a major medical issue (brain haemorrhage), and now he’s back! The doctors have found two problems with his body: he had a mini stroke, and he’s got a hole in his heart. Fortunately, it seems he got to the hospital in a timely fashion; the doctors were able to treat the stroke, and they’re looking at what can be done about his heart. These days, a stroke is not a death sentence, nor does it mean you’ll end up paralyzed; a mega dose of special steroids and blood thinners can prevent permanent brain damage. Thank God for that; it’d be a major pity to lose such a talented artist.

At last reports, Bret is actually able to get up from his hospital bed, walk around, and interact with others. As for the hole, the doctors will have to assess the size and extent to which it is affecting his blood flow. If it’s small, they may be able to ignore it. If not, he’s looking at surgery!

But, for now, it looks like the doctors are going to treat him on an out-patient basis and monitoring him closely. Let’s all keep our fingers crossed on this one, people; Bret is far too young to be lost to us.

But now they have something to rejoice about – Kelly is pregnant with their third child!

While this is truly awesome and happy news, one has to wonder – is it wise for her to have a child at her age? She’s 47 – no spring chicken. Fortunately, these days, medical science has greatly enhanced the ability of women to have healthy children well into their middle ages. The actress Adrienne Barbeau had twins when she was 51, and her two boys have grown up fine. So, there’s nothing to say Kelly can’t have a healthy child as well.

She and John also have a ten year old girl, and she is said to be overjoyed at the prospect of becoming a big sister. We can only hope that they’re not just having this baby as a means of replacing their dear son. His death, last year in the Bahamas, was so very sad.

Based on recent pictures, Kelly can’t be too far along; so we’ll be able to watch her baby-belly grow in the coming months. Here’s hoping the family is blessed with only good news this year. It sure seems like they can use it.

Not only is the Tiger Woods mistress count up to seven (with some sources reporting as high as nine) but the intimate details of his affairs with these women are disturbing and shocking – to say the least.

The latest woman to come forward with claims of multiple sexual encounters is Mindy Lawton, a restaurant owner from Florida who sat down with News of the Word to dish the details of their hookups.

Lawton’s recollection of the events are incredibly detailed with the mistress remembering exactly how Wood’s mansion is setup, the color of the linens in Tiger and wife Elin Nordegren’s bedroom, the color of the sofa they had sex on and more.

Mindy insists that Woods is a sexually driven man with a sex drive so powerful that it’s actually dangerous. She also said she wasn’t surprised there are more and more women surfacing everyday with similar claims to hers.

So far, the seven women involved in the Tiger Woods scandal include Rachel Uchitel, Jaime Grubbs, Kalika Moquin, Cory Rist, Mindy Lawton and Jamie Jungers. Rumors that Tiger also had several sexual encounters with porn star Holly Sampson are also surfacing – although she refuses to comment on the allegations at this time.

Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood both had memorable performances last night. Taylor kicked off the show with a great rendition of her song “Forever and Always” while Carrie gave audiences a burlesque-inspired performance of her new hit “Cowboy Casanova.”

Later on, Taylor returned to the stage to perform her single “Fifteen” which left the crowd in awe of her amazing vocal abilities and vulnerable personality.

Carrie Underwood went on to host the entire show with Brad Paisley where she changed into several beautiful outfits while her friend Taylor Swift went on to win 4 (count ‘em 4) awards including the prestigious award of Entertainer of the Year.

While accepting one of her awards, Taylor thanked every person in the room for not running up onto the stage and ruining her moment (everyone remembers the Kanye West incident at the VMAs, right)?

By the end of the night everyone was talking about Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift. It’s nice to see young women succeeding in country music!
