Demi Moore is reportedly heartbroken by the behavior of her Two and Half Men star husband, a serial adulterer. This weekend, in Santa Barbara, California, the two got together around a camp fire and he is said to have begged for her forgiveness.
The two were photographed after their trek in the Santa Ynez Valley, sitting around a campfire at Cachuma Lake. Admittedly, they weren’t sitting close. In fact, they were directly opposite each other.
During the trip, Demi also reaffirmed her commitment to Kabbalah, the controversial religious offshoot of Judaism that is counseling the pair, by wearing its red string bracelet on her left wrist.
Fittingly enough, serial cheat Ashton used Yom Kippur, the Jewish Day of Atonement to try to apologize to his wife for his infidelity. This is one of the rare times the pair has been photographed together since they split, almost three months ago.
The couple wanted to keep their campsite counseling secret and Demi Moore exploded angrily when a fellow camper took photos of them. He recognized tem, even dressed down as they were for their camping trip. Demi looked positively gaunt and the strain was also telling on Ashton.
Demi confronted the amateur snapper, screaming at her,
“Please don’t take photos of me or my family. Please don’t expose this.”
Obviously, she did. But after the confrontation, Demi, Ashton and the three friends that had accompanied them hid in their tents to avoid any more unwanted attention.
Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore are not Jews, but they, like other celebrities before them, such as Madonna, turned to Kabbalah seven weeks ago and signed up for the religion’s counseling in order to save their marriage. The religion teaches that “difficulties and disagreements are without exception opportunities” for them to become “that right person,” according to relationship advice posted on its website.
In other news of the Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore split, it is rumored that Demi is actually taking the opportunity to consult a divorce attorney.
