The final of America’s Next Top Model ended in utter confusion last night after one of the three contestants was disqualified without explanation. Rumors have it, though, that Angelea initially won the title.
Lisa D’Amato, Allison Harvard and Angelea Preston were competing for the title ofAmerica’s Next Top Model Cycle 17, but the judges declared that Angelea had to leave the competition. Not only that, the rumor mill is gong in to overdrive, suggesting that Angelea actually won the show but that she was disqualified due to information which came to light after the show wrapped.
It is alleged that scenes were hastily re-shot to include her being disqualified.
Tyra Banks did not go into detail as to why Angelea was disqualified from the competition. However, there has been some speculation thatPrestonhad bragged about her win on Facebook, prior to the finale being aired. As yet, this rumor is unconfirmed.
Several Tweets appeared which apparently carried a message from Angelea, saying,
“I am winner!!! I know it. Support me and f— Angelea haters!!! Look at me now b-tch.”
The official statement from The CW on Angelea’s disqualification read,
“After production wrapped on the current cycle ofAmerica’s Next Top Model, we learned information that made Angelea ineligible and she was subsequently disqualified from the competition. As a result, new scenes were filmed to address this for the audience during the finale.”
So, Lisa was eventually named the winner, but her victory hast to be bittersweet after social networks concentrated mainly on the disqualification and not her win. Just like us, I suppose – but what do you think Angelea did wrong?
