Another Rapper Shot: “Teach Me How To Dougie” Singer M-Bone Dead At 22

Montae Talbert, a.k.a. M Bone from the group Cali Swag District, has become the latest rap star to have been shot dead in the Unites States. He was 22. His killer, as yet unidentified and still not under arrest, was a lone gunman who drove past in his car and appeared to fire off two random shots.

Police will not yet confirm the identity of the man shot dead in front of a liquor store in L.A.’s Inglewood neighborhood late Sunday night. But the Internet is buzzing with the belief that the dead man is in fact Talbert.

Authorities say it was a drive-by shooting. The dead man was in one car when someone fired two shots from another car.  The incident took place at 11.32pm on Sunday and local law enforcement officers say that they believe it was a random shooting by a lone gunman in his car. Talbert was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, it seems.

Today, Talbert’s  bandmate Smoove tweeted: “Ma life changed drastically in the. Blink of an eye rip mbone.” That seems to confirm the internet rumor of Talbert’s death. He is thought to have been taken to hospital and was pronounced dead there.

Memorials have poured in for the Southern California native via social networking sights since early this morning.

Cali Swag District’s song “Teach Me How to Dougie” reached number 28 on the Billboard charts in 2010, and established the Dougie dance within hip hop culture.
