Anne Hathaway and James Franco Hate Each Other

The amazing lack of chemistry between the Academy Awards ceremony hosts on last Sunday night has suddenly begun to make a lot more sense. Anne Hathaway and James Franco hate each other, according to “Us Weekly”.

As Anne Hathaway (28) and James Franco (32) rehearsed for the February 27 show, they began to “hate each other”, apparently. The trouble started with what was blatantly obvious for us all to see on awards night: Anne Hathaway had to provide all the energy so she became as annoying as the Energizer bunny, while James appeared vacant, in his own little world that we weren’t welcome to share.

There were only fleeting moments of communication and compatibility between the two hosts. The show producers were not impressed with Franco’s efforts or the hosting combination.

However, the star’s agents are denying it all. James Franco’s agent responded that “This is absolutely not true,” and Anne Hathaway’s agent went as far as to say, “Anne had a wonderful experience with him.”

OK, the stars have saved some face and proved that they were raised to have some good manners, even if to do so they had to lie through their teeth via their agents. But the evidence was plainly there for all to see. We’ve also proved that Oscars night is a tough gig for our youngest hosts, so please let’s have a more experienced MC with a little more character for the 2012 Oscars.

It is rumored that Hugh Jackman and Billy Crystal wants the job again. The Academy could do a lot worse than give the presenting roles to them.

Who would you really like to see presenting the 2012 Oscars?
