Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie together appear to have some of the happiest, best behaved celebrity kids on the planet. It was revealed in the last few days that a big part of this is because each child had their own personal bilingual nanny. However, it seems that daughter Shiloh is missing out on Mommy time.
A source close to the celebrity couple said that Shiloh is unhappy about the amount of time her mommy works and how much attention they get when they are out together. Like many little girls, she doesn’t want to share her mommy, only Shiloh has not only her siblings for rivalry for mommy’s attention, but the whole world, at times.
Between movie roles, humanitarian charity visits overseas and date nights with Dad, Brad Pitt, the children see little of their mother. Maddox (9), Pax (7), Zahara (6), Shiloh (4), and 2-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne miss their mom, but the separation is said to be particularly hard on Shiloh.
The source said, “She has asked Angelina to stop traveling and doesn’t want to share her mother with anyone else.”
Having five other siblings competing for your mother’s attention would be hard enough on any four-year-old, but it must be even more difficult for Shiloh when Angelina goes off on her week-long service trips. Having your own nanny seems to be no substitute for a mother’s love, even if she can be your own personal tutor. It was also a stipulation for the job that the nanny had to be fluent in the child’s mother tongue, in the case of Brad and Angelina’s children adopted from overseas.
Brad Pitt is said to be heartbroken to see his kids cry when Angelina jets off each time and he has asked her to ease off on the traveling and time spent away from the kids. But will she do it?
