America’s Next Top Model 2012 Cycle 18 Recap: Episode 5 Beverly Johnson

On last night’s episode of America’s Next Top Model the models headed to Toronto for fashion week where they had to go on castings to book modeling jobs. Their photos shoot had them posing in leaves while being covered in maple syrup.

Kyle started the episode worried. She knew the girls were going to be mad at her because she made a big fuss about wanting to go home but decided to stay so someone was eliminated.

But then they got to find out about their Toronto Fashion Week job. The British girls were excited because they have more experience on catwalk than the US models.  In the CN tower, Jay told them that the girl who booked the most shows and does the best is going to win pieces from Jay’s collection and win the opportunity to fly back to Canada for a special event.  There were eight designers they can potentially book.

Right off the starting blocks Symone was worried she wouldn’t book a job and would be going home. Well, she didn’t book a job.

Eboni and Sophie were tied for first on 4 jobs. So it all depended on how they walked as to who would win the challenge.  Pink Tartan cut Kyle and Laura because they just were not getting the walk.

Annaliese felt amazing in her shows.  After the catwalk the ladies got to see the hotel they were staying at and they loved their three floor penthouse.  Katherine told Azmarie that she was amazing in the show.

Mr Jay was so impressed with Eboni and Sophie on the runway that they both won pieces from his collection and an all expenses paid trip to the Calgary Stampede.

Then it was time for the photo shoot with Miguel Jacob with the girls covered in organic maple syrup. It might be organic but it’s still messy and I don’t like it. Check out all the photo shoot images here.

Sophie did a great job and Jay loved it. Having not booked any jobs, Catherine knew she had to do well on this shoot and she tried really hard. Laura was fabulous had the photographer tell her she is beautiful.  Annaliese’s pose was strong and animalistic. The pressure was on for Ashley and Kyle and they tried to do well. Azmarie did a great job but it was Symone who really nailed the photoshoot and her confidence returned. Eboni ignored Tyra’s advice to go for a cute photo and she went all out for sexy. Alicia went for safer but Sophie impressed Nigel and Beverly with the high fashion shot. I obviousy don’t have a clue what I’m looking at as Catherine was Nigel’s favorite shot so far and  Kelly loved it. Tyra thought the photo was stunning. Nigel went so far as to call it genius. But watch what happens later. Maybe I do know what I’m looking at as Catherine found herself in the Bottom 2. They seemed to be saying Annaliese she was a host and booked shows because of how she speaks. Laura got booked and unbooked. I didn’t like her photo shoot but Kelly loved her face; she just wanted to see more energy. But Tyra thought it is the most beautiful photo Laura has taken. Beverly loved Kyle’s photo and thought her eyes were extraordinary.  Nigel didn’t. They all loved Azmarie’s hot shot though. Nigel picked out Symone’s as the best beauty shot of all the photos.  Eboni booked 4 out of 8 shots and they all loved her photo although in person, Eboni thought there was nothing special about her.

I liked Tyra Banks earrings that she wore at the end of the show–hoops with what looked like fringe. Do you know where we can get them or similar ones.
