‘America’s Next Top Model 2012 Cycle 18: British Invasion’ – Who Won?

Last night we crowned ‘America’s Top Model’ 2012 – and she’s a Brit!

The battle was on between between U.K.contestant Sophie Sumner and American contender Laura LaFrate, and of course it was full of drama and suspense. But ultimately Sophie won out.

So what happened?

While Sophie recorded the dialog for her CoverGirl commercial, Laura was shooting the ad for the makeup line. Sophie sounded great and this was always going to be a great task for her, given how many Americans love British accent (LOL).

Anyway, Laura didn’t even get through her ad before she had a panic attack. The pressure was so great as the two models went head-to-head to be crownedAmerica’s Next Top Model. She even had to be taken to hospital but she returned to continue with the finale, thankfully.

Laura was amazing on the ‘Vogue Italia’ photo shoot. She was stunning and the competition was certainly back on.

But once the photo shoots and commercials were a wrap, it was down to the sticky end of the episode: the runway show.

Sophie and Laura strutted their stuff on the catwalk for Forever 21, and timing was everything. Besides trying to look fierce with each step, they each also had to walk at a pace that goes with a spotlight that’s aimed at them to highlight their shadow behind them. The ladies had also less than 90 seconds for wardrobe changes. Oh and don’t forget they had random fight scenes with computerized warriors on stage. Bizarre!

Both girls did very well but it was Sophie Sumner who was crowned the winner.

Do you guys agree with Sophie being crowned Top Model? Let us know what you think.
